Taking responsibility seriously
All of us at bright blue skies believe it makes good business sense to take responsibility for the communities and environment in which we work.
Right from the start we decided to make choices that help both local and global communities to flourish.
Our current initiatives include:
- We only purchase 100% recycled and other sustainable paper products.
- We reuse before we recycle.
- We recycle over 95% of our waste.
- We aim to source all our office supplies locally.
- We use organic and fairtrade wherever possible and we don’t use bottled water.
- We donate a minimum of 1% of annual profit to charity, split between local and national causes.
- We minimise our business travel and energy consumption and offset our carbon emissions.
- Helping the Aldeburgh Food & Drink Festival 2009 engage with the wider community, encouraging farms and food producers to meet their customers at open days, workshops and tastings.
